Stepmom Life: From Sidelines to Loving Football

So, I’ve recently become a stepmom to two football-obsessed boys, and let me tell you, my weekends now smell like fresh-cut grass, sweat, and victory... or maybe that’s just the endless pile of cleats by the door. 😂 As someone who never imagined herself getting into football, I’m surprised to find myself actually starting to appreciate the sport in a whole new way.

Taking pictures of the boys on the field has become my new favorite thing. It’s not just about capturing the action shots (though I’ve gotten pretty good at those!). It’s about being there, cheering them on, and sharing those moments that bring us closer together. I’ve always believed in the power of photography to connect people, but this is a whole new level—turning game day into quality bonding time.

And you know what? I’m starting to understand and even love the game. Who knew that watching a well-executed play or seeing a team come together in those crucial moments could be so exciting? I guess that’s the magic of diving into something new—you end up discovering parts of yourself you never knew existed.
